MEET ROCK DOVE HQ:

Operations for people who would like to have a business and a life.

Rock Dove helps established business owners make better decisions, build stronger systems, and stop personally carrying every moving part of the company.

We’re here for the founders who are capable, thoughtful, and just a little too important to everything that happens behind the scenes.

Hi, i'm jess

picture of Jessica leaning against a railing

I’m the founder and lead wingwoman behind Rock Dove HQ, and I’ve been doing this kind of work for almost 15 years.

I spent a decade inside a fast-moving tech startup where “that’s not technically my job” was not part of the vocabulary.

As the company grew, changed direction, hired, downsized, and rebuilt, I kept stepping into whatever the business needed next. That meant community management, customer support, invoicing, logistics, account management, internal operations, managing multimillion-dollar enterprise relationships with Fortune 100 companies, and countless other things.

When a function suddenly needed an owner, I learned it. When someone left, I figured out what had to keep moving. When different teams needed to work together, I learned how the pieces connected.

It was basically a ten-year crash course in how businesses run when the org chart is changing faster than anyone can update it.

Eventually, I took everything I’d learned and brought it into my work with women-owned small businesses.

Since then, I’ve worked inside businesses across different industries, team structures, growth stages, and levels of beautiful chaos helping founders organize what’s happening, make better decisions, build systems that fit the way they actually work, and get more of the business out of their own heads.

So when I tell you I’ve probably seen some version of the problem before, I’m not saying that because I took an OBM course six months ago.

I’ve been in the weeds for a very long time.

And I still really like it here.

I don’t think founders need to disappear from their own businesses.

ROCK DOVE HQ IS BUILT AROUND A SIMPLE IDEA:

You should get to decide what your role in the business is.

Maybe there are things you genuinely love doing. Keep them. Maybe there are things only you can do. We protect space for those.

And maybe there are 1,389 things you’re doing because nobody else has enough context, ownership, or authority to handle them yet.

That’s where we come in.

I'm not here to agree with everything you say.

LOVINGLY.

If you tell me about a new idea, I am probably going to get excited with you. I am also going to ask:

Do we have capacity for this?

What does it bump?

Who is actually going to do it?

Does this solve the problem you think it solves?

Should we maybe wait?

You run the business. You make the final call. But if you bring me into the room, I’m going to bring my actual opinion with me.

That’s kind of the point.

Also: I'm an actor

HEAR ME OUT:

I did not build this company because my dream was to become the busiest operations person on the internet. I built a business that could support a creative life,
which has shaped the way I think about other founders’ businesses too.

I do not believe every spare hour needs to become another offer. I do not believe “success” automatically means working more, scaling bigger, or making yourself indispensable to a larger and larger machine.

A good business should not consume, but rather support the person who owns it.

So when we talk about capacity, delegation, growth, and what you want your role to look like, your actual life is part of the equation.

Jess
Founder + Head Wingwoman

Jess leads strategy, planning, decision-making, project ownership, client relationships, and the “hang on, there’s another problem hiding behind this problem” work.

She gets genuinely excited about a good idea and loves helping you figure out which one is worth chasing first.

Implementation Lead

Erica helps turn the plan into reality.

She leads the implementation side of Rock Dove — keeping projects moving, handling recurring execution, maintaining systems, coordinating details, and making sure the things we decide to do actually get done.

She works closely with Jess so the execution stays connected to the bigger picture.

If Jess is asking, “What are we doing, why are we doing it, and what needs to happen next?” Erica is making sure next actually happens.

And then there's the extended flock

Sometimes a client needs expertise beyond our core operations work, so we keep trusted specialists close.

Our Extended Flock works closely with Rock Dove and already understands how we work, which means shared context, a shared vocabulary, and a much more seamless experience when we bring another kind of expertise into the mix.

And when that support is delivered through Rock Dove, you’re still working within one relationship and one invoice rather than managing another contractor on your own.

We also keep a wider circle of smart people we trust for the things that don’t need to live inside Rock Dove.

Why "Rock Dove?"

BECAUSE PIGEONS ARE DEEPLY UNDERESTIMATED.

They are adaptable, resourceful, excellent navigators, and very good at finding their way home.

They thrive in complicated environments.

And frankly, they have been doing logistics longer than most of us.

Seems appropriate.

You know your business

We know how to help make it easier to run.

Let’s put both kinds of expertise in the same room.

Stay coo,

Jess + the Rock Dove flock
